Our Mission

Albany Preschool is a place where kids play, learn and love school. Parents and teachers work together to create a nurturing community of lifelong learners and friends.

85 Years Powered by Play 

This year we are proud to celebrate our 87th anniversary. While years have passed since the school’s start in 1937, our cooperative spirit, strong sense of community, and commitment to play remain the same. As a community, we work together, play together, and guide our children’s learning through play. The success of our school depends on staying true to these values.

Our families help run, lead, and grow our school. Families invest time and resources because we all believe in being part of our children’s earliest education. The more you put into our community the more you will get out of your time at Albany Preschool.

A Strong Sense of Community

Building and sustaining community is a cornerstone of Albany Preschool. The parent board hosts numerous community-building events including the monthly parent meetings, playdates and get-­togethers, Spring camping trip, etc. Albany Preschool strengthens community beyond its doors by hosting the annual Spring Fair, a beloved Albany community event.
