Albany Preschool is extremely proud of our outstanding and dedicated teaching staff and administration, some of whom were once themselves parents of Albany Preschool students. Our staff meet all state requirements for their positions and every member has many years of experience working with children. As a cooperative preschool, our students’ learning environment is also enriched by the loving involvement of parent volunteers in the classroom. You can learn a bit about our staff below, but more importantly, please come and visit so that we can meet you in person!

Katrina joined Albany Preschool in 2021 and as an early childhood educator has worked with preschool age through second grade. Her favorite to work with are ages 2-4 because of their ability to be unapologetically themselves. She has an associate degree in Behavioral Sciences from Santa Rosa Junior College and Goldenwest College. She spends her free time reading non-fiction books that help to further her personal growth and fiction fantasy novels. She loves hiking and going to the beach. Katrina’s passion lies in creating a safe, calm, and healing environment as she believes this is the best way for children to thrive. She feels grateful to be continuing her work in a parent cooperative as this was a new experience for her. She loves to talk about the children’s learning process and behavioral development so feel free to chat with her when you encounter her at school! Teacher Kierra– (photo coming soon) Kierra has been working in the early childhood education field since 2013. As an early childhood educator she has worked with children ranging from infant to kindergarten. What Kierra enjoys most about working with children is the endless opportunities to witness them develop a concept of self.
