Albany Preschool Enrollment

How to Apply
Open registration for new students starts on the last Saturday in January at the school from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. All applications are numbered in the order in which the family is in line. After registration day, application forms are available by contacting the Membership Chairperson. Spaces are offered based on the following school priorities:
1. Returning students from the previous year
2. Siblings of previous-year students who are Albany residents
3. Children of former preschool families who are Albany residents
4. Albany residents new to the school
5. Siblings of previous-year students who are non-Albany residents
6. Children of former preschool families who are non-Albany residents
7. Non-Albany residents new to the school
Families are notified if they're offered a space by the end of March. If no space is available, your family will be placed on a wait list, which is good for one year.

Tours
Prospective parents: Tours are available throughout the school year. To schedule a tour of the school, please contact one of the following tour guides:

Tuition
Fees: A $40 (for one program) or $60 (for two programs) non-refundable deposit must accompany each application. There is also (1) a $50 security deposit that is refundable at the end of the school year, (2) a $50 non-refundable maintenance fee, (3) a $50 non-refundable fee towards the School’s Fundraising Fund and (4) a $10 non-refundable Earthquake Supply Fee.
2010-2011 Morning Program Monthly Tuition:
Three days/wk: $280.00
Five days/wk: $466.00
2010-2011 Afternoon Program Monthly Tuition:
Two days/wk (only available to AM families): $250.00
Three days/wk: $334.00
Four days/wk: $446.00
Five days/wk: $557.00
2010-2011 Full Day Monthly Tuition:
9am - 3:30pm
Three days/wk: $654.00
Five days/wk: $1,088.00
Financial Aid and Scholarships:
If a family cannot afford to pay the full tuition, Albany Preschool will make every effort to create an arrangement making it possible for their child to attend the school. Some scholarships are available and are limited to no more than 50% of the cost of tuition (and will likely be less).
